I really liked its atmosphere and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Several people hinted at the so-called RPG Maker which was used to put together Hotel Anatolia. This probably explains its simplicity in terms of gameplay and graphics (which is heavily pixelated). This is a horror mystery about a couple checking in to a hotel where, eventually, a murder occurs. Our job then will be to escape. The game can be completed in an hour or so and there are 2 different endings based on a couple of decisions we make along the way. It's worth the 1 EUR it currently costs and can easily be completed 100%.. Hotel Anatolia is a simple indie horror game created with RPGMaker. It is a short, but well thought game based mostly on it's storyline and less focused on it's gameplay. It's 2D pixelated graphics and gameplay are very simple yet enjoyable. The game is tremendously similar to another indie game, The Deed. SO similar in fact, that the characters and graphics are directly imported over! Ignoring that, I still found the game able to pull off being eerie and fun at all times. Will last you a good hour or slightly more. Do enjoy, as I am recommending it to indie gamers alike.. A nice little bite-sized exploration game with some horror vibes. Honestly I would really want to like it, as I do appreciate the atmosphere, some of the puzzles and the basic idea, but the execution is sadly the thing that pulls this into the "not recommended" side of the scale. There are a lot of small bugs, sound levels are somewhat poorly balanced, grammar isn't all that good and the game is so dark that most of the time I didn't even see the things music and dialogue was trying to warn me about. These wouldn't be a huge issue if the game was free to play, but it isn't. The price is small, but still something I wouldn't ask for a game this unpolished.. This game is... different. Whether that is good or bad may be up to the person playing it. It is a short, horror game with puzzles and is atmospheric. Meaning the sounds are very important. For its price, it is good. Do note that the translation might be a bit spotty."Welcome to the Hotel Anatolia. You can check out any time you like. But you can never leave.". A very well made Thriller\/Horror, if you like a quick games with story to it then this game is for you :D it had a few on edge moments and had consequences for some of you actions, ill give the game 8\/10 :p. I didn't think it was possible, but I was disapointed by a 49 cent game.I will credit the game with this much: The creator very clearly had a decent amount of ambition, using 3D models in an engine that normally only uses sprites, and generally tries to be something a little bit different than the usual fair for RPG Maker horror games. Unfortunately, between the poor writing, the mediocre attempts at atmosphere, the overall ugliness of basically everything on display, it is fairly clear that this game was made with more ambition than skill.. Even though the game is a little bit short, it has an interesting and scary athmosphere. It reminded me Silent Hill. I think it's worth it's money.. Not bad for a dollar spent. This game took me less than 45 minutes to play and get both endings. The english translation isn't the best and there are a few bugs (like events repeating), but the story is interesting and the atmosphere is creepy. It's a novel use of RPGMaker and although the game is quite short, I do feel I got my money's worth out of the purchase, and that's what matters.. A truely bad RPGMaker horror game. The only good thing is how all the achievements are super rare.
